Planning Commission Volunteers Needed

The City of Licking is seeking citizens interested in serving on the City’s Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission is responsible for advising the City on planning, land use, zoning, and community development matters in accordance with Missouri law and the City’s ordinances.
The Commission consists of the Mayor, one member of the Board of Aldermen, and six citizen members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Aldermen. Citizen members serve four-year terms on a volunteer basis.

Park & Recreation Board Volunteers Needed

The City of Licking is seeking residents interested in serving on the Park & Recreation Board.
The Park & Recreation Board helps guide the development, maintenance, and improvement of the City’s parks and recreational facilities. The Board also plans and supports activities that benefit the entire community as directed by the Board of Aldermen.
The Board consists of nine volunteer members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Aldermen. Members must have resided within the Licking R-VIII School District for at least two years prior to their appointment. Members serve staggered three-year terms and receive no compensation for their service.
